From Passion to Art Rebecca’s Journey
April is a time of renewal and illumination, making it the perfect moment to shine a light on Rebecca, the brilliant fundadora of Reveluna Designs. A multidisciplinary artist and designer, Rebecca infuses her work with celestial magic, cultural symbolism, and divine feminine energy.
Growing up with an innate passion for art and a strong connection to her roots, Rebecca was always drawn to the mystical and unseen. Inspired by her Mexican heritage, the moon, and the strength of mujeres, she set out to create pieces that honor both tradition and modern spirituality. From intricately designed jewelry to stunning digital illustrations, every piece from Reveluna Designs is imbued with intention and purpose.
Her journey as an artist and entrepreneur reflects the resilience and creativity of mujeres who carve their own paths. By blending cultural motifs, celestial themes, and a reverence for the divine feminine, Rebecca creates art that speaks to the soul and empowers those who wear or display her work.
"Reveluna is about illuminating the unseen, embracing our power, and honoring the stories woven into our souls." — Rebecca

Q: What sparked that fire to start your own business?
A: I've always been a creative person. After working a nine-to-five for many years and following the Mexican American first-generation only daughter plan of getting a college degree, I realized all that didn't bring me full happiness—and it wasn't making me rich either. I'm a great worker, I'm focused, and I'm detailed too, so creating my own hustle came naturally. I started Reveluna Designs during the pandemic as an act of love, and that love manifested into my wood-burned art. Additionally, I am an art curator and recently worked with Yvonne to curate the Adelita's art show.
Q: What creations do you bring to life, and what makes them extra special?
A: As an artist, I'm inspired to draw and to work with the elements of wood and fire. My wood-burning art has taught me that I need to be intentional when creating a piece, because I can't undo or erase mistakes. Once the wood is burned, it's burned—just like in life, where you can't undo certain actions. Most of my wood-burning art is made for people to use on their altars, where they place their crystals, rocks, sage, cedar, and other sacred medicines. I also create custom larger wood-burned boxes for sacred feathers or special orders featuring hearts or hummingbirds. Another passion of mine is curating art exhibits—gathering artists and creating experiences that activate spaces with powerful art and energy.
Q: Walk us through your creative process—how do you turn an idea into something people can hold and cherish?
A: I usually have a vision in mind. I'll draw it on paper first, then sketch it on the wood. I use rulers, protractors, and various tools to get the perfect circle or precise angle. Sometimes, I transfer the image from paper to wood using old-school carbon paper. Once it's just the way I want it, I begin wood burning with a specialized tool similar to a calligraphy pen. I adjust the tips and temperature depending on the design. I also explore different types of wood, painting or staining them based on my vision.
Q: What inspires you?
A: A lot of my art features ancient designs—La Virgen de Guadalupe, Tonantzin, sacred geometry, and Mayan and Aztec symbols. I also draw inspiration from Egyptian and Grecian symbols, seeing similarities in ancient art worldwide. These symbols bring intention and good energy into my art pieces, helping activate homes and event spaces alike. I want people to feel connected to their heart and heritage through my work.
Q: What do you hope people feel when they take home a piece of your work?
A: I hope they feel inspired and embraced by my art, because my truest intention when wood burning is to create pieces that activate good energy and harmony. I want them to experience peace and oneness within themselves and their spirit. I want attendees of my events to feel inspired to create and live from the heart.
Community & Cultura
Rebecca’s artistry is deeply intertwined with her cultural identity and spiritual practices.
Q: How does your cultura or personal journey show up in your work?
A: My family are descendants of Mexico, and I have some European ancestry, but I identify as Chicana. I try to live an Indigenous lifestyle and practice spiritual traditional rituals. This shows up in my art activations through sacred medicine songs, exhibit themes, selected pieces, featured artists, and even the entertainment and poetry that come together to transform the space. I am inspired by my ancestors and can feel their presence in the spaces I create.
Q: What does being a vendor at Adelita's Revenge mean to you?
A: It's more than just a business connection—it's like being part of a family. All the connections I have made with other vendors have been warm and genuine. Even though there are many artists and creatives, I don't feel like I'm competing with them. Each artist is unique in their expression, and even if we create similar work, we still support one another. We operate in a world of abundance, and there is room for all of us to succeed.
Q: What's next for your business? Any exciting moves or projects in the works?
A: I want to expand my art brand into a lifestyle brand. I'm currently working on creating a community of conscious Chicanas and conscious Chicanos—an umbrella that brings together my art world with food, health, and Indigenous living. It’s about raising consciousness and uplifting energy. I’m in the early stages, but there’s more to come!
Q: Any words of wisdom for someone thinking about launching their own creative hustle?
A: Start with whatever lights you up or excites you. If you're talking about doing it, do it. Don't sell yourself short—I did it, and so can you!
Con cariño y respeto, I invite you all to experience Rebecca's transformative wood-burned art that speaks directly to our souls and honors the wisdom of our ancestors. Stop by Adelita's Revenge to witness how her pieces can bring buena energía into your home and sacred spaces, just as her presence has brought light to our comunidad. From one proud Chicana to another, gracias Rebecca for showing us that when we create from the heart and embrace our cultural roots, we inspire others to do the same—eso es puro poder!
